We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a Facilities Engineer (level II, or III). This position will be located in Rolla, MO.

?Summary:

Facilities Engineers are responsible for planning, developing, and maintaining the building infrastructure. Facilities Engineers develop accurate project scopes based on expansion projects. Furthermore, they manage complex and dynamic projects and apply a combination of formal training and real-world experiences to troubleshoot and find a resolution, as well as developing solutions that are safe, effective, and meet all regulatory requirements for the organization.

Responsibilities:

Facilities Engineer II

::: {paraeid="{8ddfa1b2-572f-4a06-9243-a41c88b00476}{174}" paraid="169721968"} - Plan, implement, and maintain the infrastructure and equipment of buildings and facilities. - Responsible for building out project scopes for facilities projects. - Determine facility and equipment specifications. - Assist with the design and implementation of facility expansion, layout, various systems, and quality controls. - Coordinate infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules and activities. - Coordinate and oversee contractors performing maintenance activities. - Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards. - Perform testing and calibration of electronic HVAC and building environmental controls to ensure proper functionality and compliance with codes/regulatory standards. - Engage in gap analysis and solutions development, update as needed. - Analyze operational processes, resource allocation, energy use, and safety processes, and recommend improvements. - Determine project costs and prepare budgets; prepare reports and compliance documentation. - Collaborate and work cross functionally with facilities, project managers, environmental groups, and internal and external stakeholders. - Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of facility equipment, such as pumps, valves, and instrumentation, to ensure proper functionality. - Assist in identifying and addressing minor equipment issues, performing basic repairs, and coordinating with maintenance teams as needed. - Participate in safety audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, assisting in the development and implementation of safety procedures. - Collaborate with upper-level engineers to support the optimization of facility operations, energy efficiency, and waste reduction. - Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, inspections, and repair activities. - Participate in the diagnosis and resolution of complex equipment and process issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external vendors as necessary. - Responsible or gap analysis for the legacy HVAC infrastructure, with a phased replacement/improvement plan. - Evaluate operational systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve operational efficiencies. - Resolve compliance issues by reviewing existing facilities and adopting changes to ensure compliance with industry codes and standards such as OSHA regulations. - Plan and execute maintenance projects, including equipment upgrades, overhauls, and installations, adhering to project timelines and budgets. - Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime. - Conduct process optimization studies to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety within the facility. - Mentor and provide guidance to entry-level Facilities Engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices. - Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve facility ope ations. :::

Facilities Engineer III

  • Lead project teams to align strategic direction for facilities initiatives.
  • Conduct process hazard analysis (PHA) and process safety management (PSM) activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and auditors, ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement long-term facility maintenance and improvement plans, aligning them with the organizations strategic objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with equipment suppliers and contractors and manage vendor relationships.
  • Implement sustainability initiatives to reduce the facilitys environmental footprint and increase energy efficiency.
  • Lead emergency response and crisis management efforts, ensuring the safety of employees and the protection of the facilities during unforeseen incidents.

Education and Credentials:

• Facilities Engineer II:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field and 2+ years of relevant experience as a Facilities Engineer or

  • Masters degree in relevant engineering field or

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Facilities Engineer III:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field and 4+ years of relevant experience or
  • Masters degree in relevant engineering or related field and 2+ years of experience or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
