Robert Half VP of Financial Reporting and Accounting in Rogers, Arkansas

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Financial Reporting and Accounting for our publicly traded client (based in Rogers, AR) to oversee the financial reporting processes and ensure compliance with SEC regulations, SOX requirements, and other accounting standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting expertise, experience with SEC filings, and a CPA certification. Knowledge of CECL (Current Expected Credit Loss) methodology is a definite plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the financial reporting function, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP, SEC regulations, and other applicable standards.

Oversee the company's accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.

Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls (SOX).

Manage the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K), including financial statements, footnotes, and MD& A (Management Discussion and Analysis).

Coordinate with external auditors on the annual audit process and quarterly reviews.

Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulations, assess their impact on the company, and implement necessary changes.

Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and accounting issues.

Lead the implementation and ongoing compliance of CECL standards, if applicable.

Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, legal, and other departments to support business initiatives and strategic decisions.

Requirements

• Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems for financial management and reporting

• Ability to oversee all Accounting Functions within a retail environment

• Prior experience in conducting Auditing processes and ensuring financial compliance

• Expertise in designing and implementing Budget Processes in a retail setting

• Strong understanding of Capital Management strategies and their implementation

• Skilled in Cash Flow Analysis to forecast and manage financial resources

• Familiarity with the Securities And Exchange Commission regulations and guidelines

• Experience in preparing and submitting SEC filings

• Understanding of SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley Act and its implications on financial operations.
