The position of Accountant II involves preparing journal entries for various revenue related accounts, perform accounting research, prepare balance sheet recons, support monthly forecast and other ad-hoc projects.

What the Candidate Will Do

• Prepare monthly revenue and other related journal entries in accordance with ASC 606
• Analyze and Review customer contracts for proper accounting under ASC 606 and review monthly journal entries to record transactions in appropriate accounting periods
• Prepare monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts and ensure accounts are reconciled with timely resolution of reconciling items
• Communicate and work with responsible parties to resolve reconciling items
• Assist business partners including, but not limited to, Sales, Operations and Finance
• Participates in external audit activities and work paper preparation for annual audits
• Adhere to accounting policies and procedures and actively seek out opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies
• Other responsibilities include but not limited to participate in special projects, system enhancements, or ad hoc analysis as assigned

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
• Minimum 2 years of Accounting or related experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of related work experience in a financial support capacity with general ledger experience or public accounting experience
• Previous experience completing journal entries and reconciliations
• Previous experience with variance analysis and research
• Prior experience with ASC 606
• Experience with major ERP system required (Oracle, SAP, etc.)
• Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions and with external users of financial information
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and Access capabilities are preferred
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred
