POSITION: Head Cook

DUTIES: Responsible for the day-to-day meal preparation, service, packaging, and dispersal in the nutrition component of the program. Responsible for maintaining kitchen cleanliness and sanitation. This will include laundry and was disposal. Help maintain a regular schedule of washing inside and outside of the cooler and freezer, assist in dish washing, and after meal clean up. Including range and ovens. Responsible for the organizing the food storage area to include removal of food from cases and placement on shelves. Must be capable of lifting 40 pounds of weight several times per day. Maintain all records. Including temperature records, inventory, and turn them in monthly to the central office. Receive orders from vendors and check for accuracy and damage. Complete orders for the Rocky Ford Office for food products needed for the next week. Establish a friendly and supportive attitude in the kitchen. Promote harmonious working conditions. Responsible for food purchasing, food packaging, and kitchen supplies as requested for efficient utilization of preparation of menu. Assumes any additional kitchen duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS: Basic knowledge of nutrition. Must have skill and experience in food preparation. Must be clean, neat, and organized. Must work well with others. Striving to make a pleasant work environment.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

WAGE: $14.42 per hour

SHIFTS: Part-time: 3 Days per week, Number of hours will vary depending on workload

JOB SITE: Rocky Ford, CO

BENEFITS: No health insurance, sick time accrued after 90 days of employment.
