We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Family Law Attorney based in Rockville, Maryland. This role primarily involves supporting a diverse team of attorneys within a fully on-site working environment. As a Family Law Attorney, you will be expected to handle a broad range of responsibilities, which include drafting motions, managing documents, conducting legal research, and handling civil litigation matters related to family law. Responsibilities:

• Undertake legal research and provide advice on family law matters

• Draft and prepare motions and other legal documents

• Manage and organize cases, ensuring all relevant documents are properly filed and updated

• Support a team of seven attorneys, taking on assignments as needed

• Handle civil litigation matters related to family law

• Ensure compliance with Bar Admission requirements in all legal proceedings

• Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all client interactions

• Navigate complex legal matters related to family law, providing expert advice and support

• Conduct discovery processes to gather information pertinent to the case

• Provide briefings to the team on case progress and developments.

Requirements • Possession of a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

• Admission to the Bar in the state of practice

• Proven experience as a Family Law Attorney

• Proficient in managing legal documentation and correspondence in strict confidence

• Comprehensive knowledge of family law and civil litigation

• Experience in drafting motions and managing discovery processes

• Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough legal research

• Strong briefing skills and ability to represent clients effectively in court

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas

• Excellent judgment and analytical skills

• First-rate interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
