The Sr. Sales Manager provides significant sales expertise to lead sales programs and marketing initiatives. Provides significant business development expertise in sourcing, targeting, and winning new business by identifying and building solid, high-level relationships with existing and potential customers. Manages the entire sales cycle to ensure revenue is in line with organization and individual targets. Sales responsibility primarily for Parker Meggitt of Rockmart, GA site, focused on civil and military fuel systems, radomes, and composites products.

Ensures profitable growth in sales revenue through planning and deployment of strategies, and action plans to improve short and long-term sales and company growth. Informs customers of new product/service introductions. Travels to customer as needed to secure new business. Maintains effective customer relationships with key senior­ level decision makers. Builds, manages, and maintains pipeline of potential sales and business cases. Utilizes pipeline management tools. Utilizes advanced product/service knowledge and understanding of the customer's business to develop customized proposals.

Oversees the bid team's responses to RFls or RFPs, including obtaining necessary internal approvals. This includes defining market position, pricing strategy, financial analysis and contract clause explanation.

This requires cross-functional and cross-business unit coordination.

Forecasts annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue for sales and develops plans to ensure revenue growth for all products. Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.

Other responsibilities as assigned

Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience to meet job expectations.

Years' Experience: 10 years of experience in Sales Management, ideally in a highly-regulated or highly-technical environment.

Skills: Ability to gather data, to compile information, and prepare reports and proposals . Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Presentation skills.

Ability to influence stakeholders.

Excellent customer service orientation.

Track record of building and maintaining customer/client relationships

Ability to manage complex negotiations with customers.

Competence in business case development and analysis.

Knowledge of the aerospace and defense markets, acquisition systems, and regulatory requirements.

Experience using Salesforce.com or other CRM software systems is preferred

Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines.

Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook.

Ability to develop strategic plans to grow the business.
