Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic who will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines, truck systems, and other related equipment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of air brake systems, diesel engine repair, and experience with heavy truck and trailer wiring systems.

Responsibilities

• Adjust and replace air brake systems, including chamber replacements and system diagnosis

• Repair and maintain heavy truck and trailer wiring systems

• Perform diesel engine repairs on various engines such as Cummins, Cat, Paccar, and International

• Utilize fabrication skills including wire feed and stick welding

• Maintain and repair hydraulic pumps and cylinders

• Service DPF and exhaust after treatment systems

• Repair and replace truck tires

• Work on medium duty trucks, specifically Ford F-550 with 6.7L diesel engines

• Diagnose and repair small engines

• Service electric trailer brakes

• Maintain A/C systems certified for R-134A

• Ensure punctuality, safety, and cleanliness of the work area

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in diesel engine repair and maintenance

• Experience with Ford F-450 and F-550

• Knowledge of air brake systems and related adjustments

• Experience in heavy truck and trailer wiring systems

• Fabrication skills including wire feed and stick welding

• Knowledge of hydraulic pump and cylinder maintenance

• DPF and exhaust after treatment system experience

• Truck tire repair and replacement

• Experience with medium duty trucks, especially Ford F-550

• Small engine repair and diagnosis

• Electric trailer brake experience

• A/C certification for R-134A systems
