U.S. Army Sustainment Command Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist in Rock Island, Illinois

About the Position: This position is located with the Army Sustainment Command, SPO Transportaion Readiness Directorate, Rock Island Arsenal, IL. Responsibilities Oversee and plan overall program and operations for ASC Installation Logistics Baseline Services (ILBLS) Deployment support. Provide Mobilization/Demobilization operations subject matter expertise and staff oversight for PPBES planning and execution within the AMC/enterprise resource management systems (such as ERMS and SCA). Provide leadership/guidance to AFSBs and subordinate organizations to improve processes and procedures of programs. Serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist in the Mobilization/Demobilization Division of the Transportation Readiness Directorate (TRD) at U.S. Army Sustainment Command. Provide Army Mobilization/Demobilization and deployment support expertise and command-level management oversight for Army Installation (AFSB/LRC) support to Army Force Deployment operations, to include automated transportation systems and interface. Perform overall planning for ASC HQs, TRD and subordinate organizations by analyzing mobilization and deployment mission assignments. Prepare/present mission critical briefings or written technical documents to senior command personnel (General Officer or equivalent) and to higher headquarters staff such as AMC, DA, or other Command. Establish program objectives and develop current and long-range plans for accomplishment of assigned functions. Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled which includes: providing Transportation/Deployment support operations to include automated transportation systems and/or Transportation operations; organizational planning by analyzing mission assignments; establishing program objectives and developing current and long-range plans for accomplishment of assigned functions; determining policy deficiencies in overall operations; and implementing necessary changes in policies, procedures and assignments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Leadership Manages and Organizes Information Managing Human Resources Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
