Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Studies specifications, engineering blueprints, tool orders, and shop data. Confers with engineering, service, and shop personnel to resolve design problems related to material characteristics, dimensional tolerances, service requirements, manufacturing procedures, and cost. 70% in Creo, 15% on the floor with production or fabricators doing service/troubleshooting, and 15% ERF integration (analysis). Creo work is 50% production orders as they come in standards, 30% customization of special orders, and 20% project work and new product development.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Rock Island, Illinois.

Work Environment

• 85% in the office doing design work and analysis, 15% on the shop floor. Shop consists of about 20 people, with 3 bays for manufacturing and 1 bay for engineering.
