Job Description:

The Credit Coordinator position will perform the following duties:

  • Provide credit and collection analysis for an assigned portfolio of accounts

  • Review and approve daily orders to support sales and profitability

  • Resolve issues related to customer accounts, including past due balances and reconciliations

  • Monitor sales representative's aging reports in order to keep company exposure within limits and terms

  • Assist customers and internal departments with information related to open account balances including: statements, invoices, payments, credits and adjustments

  • Perform periodic credit reviews of existing accounts with sales team

  • Understand reports from credit reporting agencies and analysis of historical data to assess requests for terms and credit lines

  • Maintain credit files with proper, complete and accurate documentation.

  • Enter new customer account set-up information and changes/corrections to existing customer accounts

  • Handle credit related correspondence in a timely, professional and secure manner

  • Prepare account files to send to collection agencies and collection attorneys

  • Support company's quality management programs by providing effective customer service to internal and external customers

  • Function as a team member within the department and organization

  • Performs duties that best serve the interests of the company

  • Will report to the Credit Manager is based out of our distribution warehouse in Rock Island, IL. This is not a remote position.

High School Diploma or Equivalent

6 Months - 1 Year Accounts receivable experience
