Supported Employment Placement Specialist

Purpose: Using a person-centered approach in all aspects of the supported employment process to assist consumers with placement and maintaining employment that is consistent with their vocational goals.

Key Functions: Conduct intake interviews to develop comprehensive vocational assessments and assist consumers with developing Individual Rehabilitation Plan that includes ongoing assessment of progress and needs Takes a lead role in developing relationships with employers in the community to foster possible partnerships in placing consumers in competitive employment To assist consumers with learning the skills (interviewing, job searching and job preparation) necessary to find competitive employment in the community. Will provide services one on one and in Job Readiness groups. Provide proper documentation of all recorded visits and work done on behalf of consumer via case notes. Write reports to all funders to update them on consumers progress. Achieves 100% of yearly established productivity standards in conjunction with applicable program contracts, goals and objectives Serves as an agency representative to professional associations and other organizations that offer job networking and partnership opportunities. Works with other internal departments to foster effective working relationships to ensure that consumer needs are met. Interfaces with all funders, partners and stakeholders as needed. Collaborates with Employment Consultants after placement of consumers to enhance job retention. Models effective team work and contribute to the success of program. Adhere to Company policies and procedures to include being aware of the importance of Corporate Compliance Policies and the Code of Conduct. Staff is responsible for maintaining required certifications and licenses.

Education, Experience, Skills and/or Licensing/Certification Required: Bachelors degree in Human Services, Business, Marketing or related field is required. 2 years of experience in employment and counseling or Certified Rehabilitation Counselor or Practitioner. Experience in providing services within ACCESS VR, OMH, and OPWDD contracts
