Robert Half Software Engineer in Rochester, New York

Description

We are in search of a Software Engineer, to join our team in Rochester, New York. This role primarily involves the development, testing, and maintenance of software systems. The successful candidate will utilize a variety of languages and tools to create and optimize software applications that meet both technical and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement new software programs, ensuring their functionality and reliability.

• Maintain and improve the performance of existing software, making necessary updates and modifications.

• Collaborate with the team to design and update software database, ensuring system efficiency and integrity.

• Test and maintain software products to ensure strong functionality and optimization.

• Recommend improvements to existing software programs as necessary.

• Utilize React, C#/.NET, NodeJS, Python, and NoSQL database systems in software development.

• Apply experience with AWS services in managing and hosting applications.

• Adhere to Agile methodologies in all stages of the software development life cycle.

• Conduct unit testing to ensure software meets quality standards.

• Collaborate with other software engineers and developers, learning and sharing knowledge to improve team performance.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Software Engineer within the Service industry

• Proficient in Apache Struts, C++, and Database management

• Experience with EO/IR systems

• Familiarity with Hibernate ORM and AB Testing

• Expertise in Ajax, API Development, and ASP.NET

• Strong knowledge in CSS, Node.js, and NoSQL

• Proficiency in React, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Python

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field is preferred

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

• Dedicated to continuous learning and skill development
