Are you interested in working directly with our residents? Episcopal SeniorLife Communities is holding a Home Health Aide class to become certified in providing direct care to our residents living at our Assisted Living locations: Ashley Woods, Brentland Woods, and Seabury Woods!

Rate of pay while attending training class - $16.00/hour

Once the course ends and you've successfully passed and received certification, you will enter a HHA role with us. Varied shifts Monday-Friday, & every other weekend. Various shifts will be available. The rate of pay will change to reflect the HHA/RCA rate. Pay range: $17.55 - $18.55. Differential is offered for evenings and nights: $2.50 during the week and $4.00 on weekends.

  • Classes start on September 23rd and last 2 weeks. Training 30.0 hours/week.

  • Training locations: Week One: 1530 East Avenue, the next week is at your respected location: Ashley Woods, Brentland Woods, or Seabury Woods.

  • Full attendance is mandatory

  • Once the course starts, the trainee will attend classes only, receiving hourly wages while attending the course.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Training:

  • Must have strong desire to care for our residents.

  • Must be a t least 18 years old to apply.

  • Must be available for 2 weeks of training (Training locations: Week One: 1530 East Avenue, the next week at your respected location).

  • Must be willing to provide residents with daily living activities such as grooming, bathing, cleaning, etc.

  • Must be willing to assist in serving residents daily meals.

Certified:

  • Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) , Personal Care Aide (PCA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A) is required.

  • Basic First Aid is also required.

  • Must possess high school diploma or equivalent with reading, comprehension and writing ability at 12th grade level or higher.

  • Experience or interest in working with older adults.

  • Strong team approach to working with other staff.

  • Ability to interact courteously and tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, vendors and the general public.
