Responsible for: Maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives including the Companys quality inspection and product release programs for incoming, in-process and finished goods. Conduct various hourly evaluations, audit, plant inspections & quality system audit. Report non-conformities and advise on quality problems to determine root cause and implement corrective action.

Key responsibilities Assist to develop and/or maintain Quality Improvement policies and procedures that meet legal requirements and standards. Provide support in establishing the Quality Improvement Program for the plant; through auditing & working closely with the production team. 35% Ensure workers engaged in inspection and testing activities conform to GMPs and maintain high productivity and technical integrity. Maintain and calibrate lab testing equipment. Basic personal computer skills including the ability to send/receive e-mail messages, post information to a database or spreadsheet, and perform basic word processing- writing nonconformance, GMP audits. Enforce all GMP standards. Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, procedure manuals, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Must be decisive and able to effectively make decisions based on a wide variety of clearly defined procedures and standard practices. Team oriented individual with the ability to work independently as needed with limited supervision. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. A positive attitude with strong interpersonal, communication (written and oral) skills are essential. Data tracking with temp logs. Sanitation tunnel water testing. Hourly analytical product testing and retain sample testing. 35% Provide expertise to teams; Maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives including the Companys quality inspection and product release programs for incoming, in-process and finished goods; Conduct various hourly evaluations, audit, plant inspections & quality system audit. Interpret quality control philosophy to key personnel within Company; Provide and oversee, inspection activity for product throughout production cycle; 35% Report non-conformities and advise on quality problems to determine root cause and implement corrective action Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action;

Ensure the maintenance and calibration of the laboratory equipment; Other duties as assigned.

Minimum of three (3) years of equivalent work experience in a Food and Beverage manufacturing environment. Associate degree in food science/technology or related scientific discipline preferred. SQF Practitioner with prior experience implementing, verifying & validating SQF program. 1-3 years quality experience. Demonstrated experience developing quality policies and procedures, including quality measurements, root cause analysis and problem resolution.
