MKS Instruments Inc Production Tech 2 in Rochester, New York

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a Production Technician at MKS Power Solutions, Rochester NY, you will partner with Operations for setup and testing of boards, subassemblies and full assemblies. Also to assist Technical Operations in test development of future MKS Products. In this role, you will report to the Production Test Supervisor.

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Responsible for setup and testing of boards, subassemblies and full assemblies.

  • Follows test specifications, methods and procedures provided by Technical Operations

  • troubleshoot routine unit problems

  • Works with the technical operations department on developing future MKS products

  • Reports issues clearly to Technical Operations and assists in problem solving

  • Travel Requirements: Up to 0% of Travel is required.

Skills You Bring:

  • 2 year degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent experience

  • Good Problem solving skills

  • Good Communication skills

  • Attention to detail in the tasks that you are assigned to complete

  • Self Sufficient

  • Able to work overtime as needed

Preferred Skills: (Optional)

  • Ability to read a schematic

  • 2+ years of experience

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Able to Lift up to 20lbs daily

  • Able to push/pull up to 50lbs daily

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: $24 - 27hr is range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
