Kelly Services Process Engineer I in Rochester, New York

Kelly Engineering is hiring a Process Engineer I in Rochester, NY for a medical device client.

This engineer will participate in process development activities, writing protocols, data gathering, and analysis. Someone in this role will write protocols and reports. This person will analyze data and provide recommendations on trends, correlations, response variables, DOE’s, etc. to better understand process interdependencies. The engineer in this role will work with and help define automation requirements. They will also participate in process capability finalization and process transfer to manufacturing. The candidate may be interfacing with an internal cross-functional team while working on these programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Support new produce/process validations.

  • Design, execute, and analyze experiments.

  • Provide process optimization.

  • Develop and support new manufacturing processes and technologies.

  • Support existing manufacturing processes, quality improvements and cost reductions.

  • Ensure product quality and all tasks are in accordance with established SOPs, GMPs, Divisional Specifications, and EHS standards.

  • Train manufacturing and junior personnel in required operations.

  • Will not have direct reports, may lead small project teams.

Requirements:

  • Degree in engineering or related program

  • Data/statistical analysis skills

  • Analytical mindset

  • Team-based communication

Preferred:

  • 1-5 years in Engineering, Process Development, and/or Quality Engineering setting.

  • Tableau or Power BI

  • Hands-on experience and technical expertise in a development environment.

  • ISO-9000, GMP, medical device manufacturing experience.

  • Experience with high volume and/or high precision manufacturing.
