SUMMARY

As a Manager, Nursing, your ability to multitask and oversee multiple areas of the unit allows for the successful flow of information and consistent management of needs to achieve quality care.

Unity Living Center, a 120-bed state-of-the-art skilled nursing facility, is located on two recently renovated floors on the Rochester Regional St. Mary's campus.

The 3100 unit is a 24 bed unit with 18 private rooms and 3 semi private rooms. Respiratory unit 10 vent beds and 14 respiratory beds. we have 24/7 RT on unit to cover respiratory needs. Primarily our residents on this unit are non-responsive and are dependent for all cares, PEG tubes for nutrition as well as extensive wound care.

LOCATION: Unity Living Center - 3100

DEPARTMENT: Long Term Care

SCHEDULE: Day

ATTRIBUTES
  • Nursing Degree required, BSN preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years acute/continuing care clinical experience
  • MDS proficiency preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Daily Management. Ensure safe and appropriate staffing levels and skills during all hours of operation; maintain ongoing communication with staff regarding performance; develop and assess department goals and objectives; act as a resource to department, staff, patients and other department staff and the community
  • Leadership. Act as a liaison and facilitate the flow of information; assure completion of incident reports and patient complaints with appropriate follow-up; support and communicate standards of care, management philosophy and objectives; provide input regarding departmental budget for staffing supplies
  • Patient Care. Develop the resident care plan and ensure implementation through the interdisciplinary team; develop, implement and evaluate in conjunction with Senior Director of a department Quality Improvement Plan
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
  • BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
PAY RANGE: $84,000.00 - $115,000.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
