Third Presbyterian Church Lead Facility Maintenance Technician in Rochester, New York

Order#: NY1508169 Lead Facility Maintenance Technician

Full time 40 hours per week, 5 (five) days per week with hour lunch and two 15 minute breaks. Must be flexible to meet needs of church schedule (e.g. church holidays like Christmas and Easter or other special occasions) including coverage for other maintenance staff as needed.

Responsibilities: Defines building maintenance and repair needs; assigns tasks and participates in keeping buildings and grounds clean and well maintained Creates and implements maintenance staff schedule on a weekly basis Completes minor repairs in plumbing and electric, boiler, heating, air conditioning, masonry, carpentry, plastering, and energy conservation Brings maintenance and repair concerns to the attention of supervisor Maintains an inventory of supplies, building-related tools, equipment, and materials and works with Pastor/Head of Staff in conjunction with Property Team to requisition replacement items, while adhering to the maintenance/facilities budget Supervises other maintenance staff, and participates in meeting room setups (arranging tables and chairs, providing special equipment, including sound system and audio visual systems, and providing beverage setups) and teardowns, and building maintenance services Maintains security of premises, opens and closes buildings, maintains building access control and parking lot security, activates and deactivates, and responds to after-hours building security and fire alarms as required Schedules routine maintenance and oversees the work of contracted services including, but not limited to, cleaning, grounds care, and snow removal Operates computerized heating and cooling systems Assists staff, church members, visitors with requested tasks and other duties as assigned

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required Five years of building/property maintenance experience Possession of Class 3 Stationary Engineers license (or must complete 1 year training program at employer cost and pass test for license after the first year of employment) Working knowledge (or ability to be trained) in the use of Up Keep maintenance software, enteliWEB software, computer and Google email systems, to receive and respond to service requests Experience supervising and coordinating other maintenance staff Ability to lift up to 40lbs, climb stairs and ladders
