University of Rochester Lactation Clinic-Grant (temporary - funded until March 2026) RN, Tier 1, Outpt in Rochester, New York

Responsibilities

This RN IBCLC will provide patients with Telelactation services and Breastfeeding and Lactation support. In-person training will be required, otherwise the hours will be remote and necessary equipment will be provided. Evening and weekend hours are strongly preferred. This person will collaborate and communicate closely with the Breastfeeding and Lactation Medicine providers and inpatient medical and nursing teams to care for new families. This RN IBCLC will provide expert lactation support, evidence-based education to families and care teams regarding lactation and breast/chestfeeding for patients ranging from healthy newborns to medically or socially complex parents and infants and assist in developing feeding plans. They will serve as a resource to families and other healthcare providers to help support patient’s individualized feeding goals and connect them to community resources. IBCLC required.

Qualifications

Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor Degree in Nursing preferred. Six (6) months experience as a Registered Nurse working in an Acute Care Setting required or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Successful completion of orientation at the unit level required. NYS Licensure as a Registered Nurse required.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $35.35 - $45.96 Hourly

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
