Insulation Installer

PeopleReady of Rochester, NY is now hiring Insulation Installers!People Ready is looking for skilled insulation installers. This job requires you to install and replace insulation in buildings and mechanical systems to help maintain temperature and control noise. You may work with different types of insulation. Will be completing residential installs.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $18 $22 / hour.

What you'll be doing as a Insulation Installer:

• Prepare: Review blueprints and specifications to calculate the amount and type of insulation needed

• Remove: Remove and dispose of old insulation according to safety guidelines

• Measure and cut: Measure and cut insulation to fit into walls, ceilings, around pipes, and other areas

• Install: Install insulation with staples, tape, screws, or fasteners

• Seal: Seal gaps, cracks, and air leaks with plastic barriers or vapor barriers

• Protect: Install firestopping materials

• Clean: Clean the workplace after completing tasks

• Transport: Transport tools and equipment to the jobsite

Available shifts:

Shift Timings: 1st shift (Day)

Job requirements:

• Comfortable working with hand and power tools, ladders, and both indoors and outdoors

• Physical stamina

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs

• Ability to stand on feet minimum 8 hour shift

• Ability to frequently bend and lift

• Ability to follow directions

• Ability to read documentation

• Reliable transportation

• Minimum 3 years experience
