Food Production Worker

PeopleReady of Rochester, NY is now hiring Food Production Workers! People Ready is looking for hard working, dependable individuals to work for a food production company in Rochester, NY. Two locations available and looking for employees. This is a fast paced environment where you will be responsible for unloading, producing and packaging food material. This position is available for 1st and 2nd shift with the possibility to grow into your role and further your career.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $17 - $20 / hour

What you'll be doing as a Food Production Worker:

• Learns, understands, and follows safe operating procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.

• Follows established SOPs to ensures product quality standards are met.

• Performs all tasks and duties required to ensure production and efficiency standards are met.

• Assists in other areas in production as needed.

• Performs lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 50 to 100 pounds regularly and stands for extended periods of time.

• Reports all general safety, quality, sanitation, and maintenance issues to Production Supervisor

• Maintains clean and sanitary work areas, machinery, and equipment.

• Communicates with supervisors and co-workers all information relevant to the manufacturing process.

• Ensures the proper set-up for the next shift and communicates with next shift.

Available shifts:

Shift Timings - 1st Shift (Day) , 2nd Shift (Evening)

Job requirements:

• Ability to lift, carry, and/or push up to 50 to 100 pounds consistently.

• Attention to detail, including tracking of batch codes, use of recipes, and following instructions.

• Must demonstrate the ability to communicate both orally and in written form in English.

• Prior food production experience preferred, but not required.

• HS Diploma or GED preferred
