Robert Half Credit Specialist (Tier II) in Rochester, New York

Description

We are offering an employment opportunity for a Payroll Administrator in Rochester, New York, United States. This role is within a telecom provider, and you will be responsible for mitigating credit risk exposure and providing advanced client service and technical product support.

Responsibilities:

• Review and process incoming clients utilizing payroll services to mitigate credit risk exposure

• Provide advanced client service and technical product support to both internal and external partners

• Ensure timely and accurate problem resolution while mitigating risks

• Review, approve, or deny credit authorizations payments or termination decisions to mitigate potential risk

• Conduct credit reviews on new Payroll clients and interpret credit reports, financial trade, and public record data to assist in the credit decision-making process

• Identify and research potentially fraudulent clients and escalate all positive matches to a supervisor and the fraud investigations group

• Conduct daily reviews of incoming clients to determine potential matches to previous clients that have been terminated for non-payment of payroll or invoice amounts

• Remove clients from the services when required and diffuse difficult client concerns

• Research and resolve product and service issues from the field and our clients and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions input into the product systems

• Participate in product-related projects or training sessions to ensure area of responsibility is represented

• Develop and maintain knowledge of all product offerings, regulatory changes, policy changes, and industry developments.

Requirements • Proficient in payroll administration and management

• Familiar with invoice and payment processing

• Skilled in policy interpretation and implementation

• Ability to conduct research and analysis

• Capable of providing workstation support

• Experience in ad hoc financial performance

• Knowledge of credit management and risk mitigation

• Demonstrated skills in client relations

• Familiarity with authorizations, terminations, and other related processes

• Capable of problem resolution and training sessions

• Experience in fraud investigation and credit reports

• Ability to work with external partners and manage credit risk

• Proficiency in Paychex Payroll system

• Capable of interpreting complex data and making credit decisions

• Ability to identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies

• Familiarity with Experian and other financial tools.
