As a Clinical Registered Nutrition Specialist, your expertise and knowledge will be used for designing and implementing individualized medical nutrition therapy and working collaboratively with other disciplines to optimize nutrition care and patient experience. This position will cover in the NICU and pediatrics along with adult acute care coverage.
STATUS: Full Time, 40 Hours
LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital
DEPARTMENT: Food and Nutrition
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, days and rotating weekends
ATTRIBUTES
- Registered Academy of Nutrition Dietetics (A.N.D.) License as a Registered Dietitian (RD) is required
- Bachelor's degree from an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (A.N.D.) accredited program is required
- A minimum of two (2) years of acute clinical experience is preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of regulatory requirements for nutrition care
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical thinking and computer skills
- Assessment. Complete nutritional assessments for all patients; provide input into Nutritional Support Service rounds for assigned patients; monitor and document patient progress
- Nutritional Therapy Planning. Provide recommendations for formulations, rate and volume for all tube fed and TPN patients. Instruct patients and families on special diets and general good nutrition.
- Patient Care. Develop plan of care per clinical data, interview, diagnosis and treatment goals; provide oversight to dietetic technicians providing patient care

- RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist - Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
