Description

The department of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester invites applications for a full-time, licensed psychologist to join its Behavioral Health Partners (BHP) team in the role of Assistant Director. BHP provides mental health care to eligible University of Rochester employees and their adult dependents. Our multidisciplinary team works together to provide medication consultation and psychotherapy for conditions such as anxiety, stress, depression and ADHD. This role entails a distribution of leadership responsibilities with fifty percent dedicated to direct clinical care and fifty percent allocated to administrative duties aligned with BHP’s mission. Clinical responsibilities include conducting initial assessments and diagnostic evaluations, providing short-term evidence-based interventions, and working in close collaboration with BHP team members and primary care colleagues. Additionally, this role is instrumental in driving the ongoing development of BHP, with a primary focus on establishing a new service line for the treatment of ADHD. Other administrative responsibilities include developing and implementing policies and procedures to enhance program operations as well as supervision of direct reports. As a member of the faculty of the Department of Psychiatry, the successful candidate will also participate in the department’s education mission by contributing to the teaching and mentoring of trainees and colleagues.

Applicants must possess a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in psychology and be immediately eligible for licensure in New York. Highly competitive salary and benefits package available. Qualifications

Must possess a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in psychology

Must be licensed as a psychologist in NYS prior to start

The referenced pay range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
