Responsibilities

The Manager works collaboratively with the Director to develop and implement strategic plan. Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, orientating, training, scheduling and managing approximately 500 volunteers and volunteer councils. Assists with campus-wide program operations, which encompasses over 1500 volunteers ages 14 to 100. Performs duties independently and initiates judgment in handling a variety of management issues and communications. Provides oversight and management of volunteer services which include multidisciplinary teams at multiple campuses and locations. Develops, implements and oversees new programs and service area offerings. Responsible for organizing and executing volunteer events from concept to completion. Manager is accountable for and ensures compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements. Manages institutional funding requests and facilitates the distribution of assets. This position requires the flexibility to work evenings and weekends and provide on-call coverage for the No One Dies Alone program.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Management, Human Resources, or related field and five years of management experience required. Effective communication and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills. Proficient technology skills and adept at leveraging volunteer management platforms, social media platforms, and web applications. Demonstrates ability to design, teach and facilitate training. Ability to interact with all ages and diversities. Strong organizational and delegation skills. Previous volunteer leadership experience.
