Henry Ford Health System Pharmacy Senior Informatics Analyst - Pharmacy Advantage - Full Time in Rochester Hills, Michigan

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Provide analytical, professional, and insightful expertise to facilitate the delivery and communication of corporate information via various reporting requirements and mediums. Represent department as a customer advocate as well as proponent of the proficiency, abilities and interests of representative department. Develop competency of various corporate databases and establish expertise in departments standard reporting tools. Establish understanding of intermediate statistics and healthcare metrics for analytical application. Perform duties and responsibilities as highly motivated, self-directed individual with minimal supervision.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Represent the key elements and objectives of the department in meetings, on committees and cross functional teams; provide optimal methodology and analytical expertise to improve performance of the client customer.

  • Responsive analysis of reporting requirements and outcomes. Provide business savvy and sound judgment for recommendations on projects and various data/information scenarios.

  • Develop and maintain computer-based programs to extract and report data from HAP’s managed care information systems. Provide technical expertise in the detailed analysis, design, and implementation of reporting solutions based on user requirements and knowledge of data

  • Work with customers to define and develop reporting needs and requirements.

  • Design, develop and implement solutions to data, information and reporting challenges for internal customers and external corporate business partners.

  • Provide guidance, and assistance to analyst level team members. Participate in department as part of a team to support the overall activities, goals and objectives.

  • Develop expertise in multiple areas of critical knowledge relative to the success of reporting, distributing or communicating corporate information.

  • Coordinate activities relevant to assigned projects, including planning, data collection, verification, analysis and presentation of results.

  • Maintain highest levels of personal and professional integrity and confidentiality.

  • Commit to ensuring accuracy of all work product and the delivery within specified timeframes.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, or one of the natural sciences preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years experience in reporting, data management or analysis.

  • Two or more year's experience with relational databases and reporting tools. SQL skills desirable.

  • Proficiency with MS Office suite of tools including Access and SQL

  • Ability to lead projects and work flow.

  • Excellent quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Enthusiastic and self motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent written, oral communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work with limited supervision

  • Ability and desire to work in a team environment

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Knowledge of statistical and analytical techniques, including intermediate statistics and healthcare metrics.

  • Understanding of healthcare industry and managed care concepts
