FANUC America Corporation Financial Analyst in Rochester Hills, Michigan

The Financial Analyst will support the accounting, forecasting, and budget needs for a dedicated business unit and also oversee the project financials of that same unit. The Financial Analyst works closely with senior management and also project managers, covering a broad range of topics. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and technical skills as well as excellent communication skills. Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Work with project management team to oversee project financial and administrative aspects, ultimately ensuring invoicing and revenue recognition accuracy and margin performance versus budget

  • Research project cost and resolve issues as required

  • Report to senior management on project performance

  • Compile sales and relevant financial data monthly to create a financial forecast model

  • Perform trend and “what if” analysis on forecast data

  • Support assigned selling groups with reporting and analysis

  • Monitor and implement processes to support assigned execution groups to achieve their financial measures and targets

  • Communicate effectively with management regarding financial trends and improvement ideas.

  • Support assigned groups with annual operating expense budgeting

  • Perform assigned month end close project accounting and reporting

  • Reliable, consistent attendance required Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required

  • BS/BA Degree in Finance/Accounting or related field or equivalent relevant experience

  • 5+ years progressive accounting and financial analysis experience in a corporate environment

  • Aptitude to learn and work with various financial systems and databases (i.e. Oracle, SQL, etc.)

  • Experience in preparing and delivering professional presentations to varied levels of executive leadership Preferred:

  • Manufacturing / Automotive Industry experience
