Job Title: Industrial Electrician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician with an Associate's degree or equivalent experience and 1 - 5 years of related experience. The ideal candidate will possess basic electrical skills, be Arc Flash trained, and have a thorough understanding of solid state circuitry and various voltage systems (110V, 220V, 440V, and 480V).

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Diagnose problems with programmable controllers on equipment.

  • Operate electrical testing and machining equipment.

  • Perform preventative electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and installation.

  • Complete work orders and required paperwork accurately.

  • Carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Use mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure and calculate figures such as proportions, percentages, area circumference, and volume.

  • Expand knowledge and skills through on-the-job and formal training, including required OSHA training.

  • Learn and apply basic computer skills, including the SAP Maintenance Module.

  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures in accordance with company, local, state, and federal OSHA rules and regulations.

  • Obtain a valid forklift license.

Essential Skills

  • Basic electrical skills and Arc Flash training.

  • Understanding of solid state circuitry.

  • Knowledge of 110V, 220V, 440V, and 480V systems.

  • Ability to lift up to 90 lbs.

  • Ability to read electrical schematics and diagnose problems with programmable controllers.

  • Proficiency in operating electrical testing and machining equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret various documents and complete work orders.

  • Mathematical skills for various calculations.

  • Willingness to learn and expand skills through training.

  • Basic computer skills, including SAP Maintenance Module.

  • Knowledge of safety policies and procedures.

  • Ability to obtain a valid forklift license.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma

  • Entry-level Tech I: 0-2 years of experience

  • Intermediate Tech II: 2-5 years of experience

  • Experience with troubleshooting, schematic reading, installation, mechanical systems, conveyor systems, program control, preventive maintenance, and PLC programming.

  • Ability to perform electrical wiring, use fuses, ohm meters, hand tools, and various test equipment.

The work environment is within a frozen food manufacturing facility with both warm and cold temperatures. It is a clean environment where gowning up is necessary to maintain hygiene standards.
