job summary:

A MIG welder who works with light gauge metal may have the following responsibilities: MIG welders need to be able to read and understand blueprints to ensure they are welding the correct parts to the correct specifications. Select materials and tools MIG welders need to choose the right filler metals, wire electrodes, and gases for each job. They also need to select the appropriate tools for the job. Prepare work surfaces MIG welders need to prepare the work surfaces for assembling and welding parts. Adjust settings MIG welders need to test each weld for cracks, defects, and porosity. Follow safety standards MIG welders need to follow all relevant safety procedures and protocols to keep their workplace safe.

location: Roanoke, VA

salary: $18.54/hr

work hours: 6:00AM to 2:30AM

qualifications:

• up to 50 lbs. (heavy lifting)

dress code:

Shirts or t-shirts must have sleeves and be without any holes or rips. Pants without any holes or rips. No profane or suggestive texts and images. Closed toe and non slip footwear only.
