Parsons Corporation Senior Project Manager - Primary Urban Access in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Project Manager - Primary Urban Access to join our team! In this role you will be responsibility for Qiddiya’s Primary Urban Axis (Light Railway) project within the Public Transport Sector program delivery for SAPL’s Qiddiya Infrastructure Delivery Partner Works.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Management of planning and delivery of the assigned part of the Primary Urban Axis project within the program and ensures operational and maintenance consistency across the program.

  • Coordinate with QIC and other delivery partners as well as and all existing contractors and consultants, and future planned procurement of major contractors and consultants.

  • Engage with the respective Client Development leads and their Master planners / Concept Designers to ensure strategies and plans are properly developed through the lifecycle of the program.

  • Support the Client’s Development team in completing the Project Concept Design and ensure appropriate project handover from Development to Delivery.

  • Participate in the Procurement cycle for all required Construction Contractors and Consultants

  • Develop implementation strategies, through delivery of workplans and other key documents and approaches in accordance with program requirements and accepted best industry practice.

  • Lead the implementation and application of advanced principles and concepts, ensuring compliance and consistency across the projects and across delivery teams.

  • Contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas.

  • Leads on unusually complex problems and provides solutions that are highly creative, in coordination with functional leads.

  • Facilitates forming partnerships with key stakeholders and organizations impacted by the assigned part of the project.

  • Assigns work to employees, oversees, and tracks the completion of work assignments.

  • Interviews and selects personnel for assignment as required.

  • Maintains clear and concise work standards and goals; provides training and development; completes performance evaluations, conducts employee counselling, takes corrective action as necessary.

  • Ensures adherence to all corporate, contractual, ethics and safety standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Degree in Engineering or a related discipline with minimum 15 years’ demonstrable experience in leading roles of mega construction and engineering Rail projects working for client or PMC

  • Strong experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and functional teams

  • Demonstrable experience of Project controls, reporting, planning as well as management of multiple stakeholders

  • Must have extensive experience in leading project management teams, construction supervision, logistics and associated project controls and planning.

  • Excellent communication oral and written skills in English is essential.
