Job Description

As the Structural Manager, you will lead all structural activities related to remedial works on significant projects. You will be responsible for assessing structural issues, developing solutions, and overseeing the implementation of remedial strategies to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with all regulations.

  • Lead Structural Assessments: Conduct thorough inspections and evaluations of existing structures to identify deficiencies and necessary remedial actions.

  • Develop Remedial Solutions: Collaborate with engineers and architects to create effective remedial plans that address structural issues while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations.

  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of remedial works, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure that all work meets the required standards and complies with relevant codes and regulations.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with project teams, including contractors and subcontractors, to facilitate smooth coordination and communication throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of assessments, designs, and remedial works, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide a team of structural engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with remedial works and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).

  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in structural engineering, with a strong focus on remedial work on large-scale projects.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of structural analysis software and familiarity with relevant building codes and standards.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills, capable of developing creative solutions to complex structural challenges.
