Parsons Corporation Assistant Cost Manager in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Assistant Cost Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to manage, track and report budget and forecasts cost control.

Responsibility for Parsons’s Cost Engineering for SAPL Qiddiya Infrastructure Partner (QIDP). Responsible and accountable for ensuring that all work is in full coordination with Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) and with Jacobs and Mace delivery partners. Reports directly to the Senior Finance Manager.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Provides leadership to the Cost/QS Group and in conjunction with the Project Controls Manager assigns priorities

  • Monitors the review and coordination of project-related payments, i.e., payment certificates and invoices for contractors and consultants.

  • Checks and approves work performed by the Senior and Cost/QS Engineers as necessary

  • Responsible to provide the financial report status of construction contracts and consultancy agreements that will be issued regularly.

  • Manages the preparation and update of the monthly the cash flow expenditures and budget forecast for submittal to management.

  • Makes recommendations to management regarding variation orders, contractor’s cost proposals and engineer’s recommendations; and the cost impact of revisions or changes in design as required

  • Manages the checks and verification of the consultants estimates

  • Supports the tender process and financial evaluation of bids as required.

  • Performs cost-benefit analysis as required.

  • Monitors and reports on the progress any conditions which would affect project cost.

  • Prepare the needed reports.

  • Ensures adherence to all corporate, contractual, ethics and safety standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelors Degree in a related discipline with minimum 8 years’ experience in construction projects, specifically management experience across multi-disciplinary teams.•

  • Demonstrated teamwork and management skills.

  • Proven experience of working within complex construction environment

  • Ability to follow through & clearly deliver work instructions in a complex stakeholder environment.

  • Ability to work in a matrix organization (dual reporting). Ability to interact with senior-level management.

  • Ability to consult, motivate, and negotiate effectively with client groups, co-workers, employees, vendors, and contractors.

  • Must function effectively under time constraints, schedule workload to meet deadlines, and can prioritize.

  • Strong Contractor Management skills

  • Expertise in PRISM, Power BI, Aconex, and Microsoft Office Suite.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Advantageous to have extensive experience of significant PM/CM contracts.•

  • Cost Engineering Certified is a plus.

  • Unifier experience a plus
