BUNZL Director of National Accounts in Riverside, Missouri

Description

The Director of National Accounts for Bunzl Processor Division will lead a team of account managers that call on large-scale food and beverage processors. Key areas of responsibility include sales growth, margin growth, target vendor and product initiatives, customer continuous improvement, and inventory management.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates distributor's product mix, competitiveness, quality, service levels and geographic area serviced

  • Offers solutions to enrich customer's product's value with the distributor

  • Establish and build effective profitable programs through product mix evaluation, pricing comparisons and proposals

  • Main vendor contact for program development requiring a high level relationship

  • Advise Departmental VP concerning issues, and follow through with timely resolutions

  • Achieves sales projections and goals and communicates key initiatives to the customer

  • Works on business development, category opportunities, stocking, pricing and availability

  • Communicates performance against goals and objectives to sales, marketing, and procurement personnel

  • Works with the customer to provide proper tools to increase sales and to promote overall usage through programs designed to sell the features and benefits of the products

  • Assists in the administration of expenditures in order to maximize the benefits of participation and supplier investment

  • Submits annual business plan to include company targets and sales goals by vendors

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • A minimum of 3-5 years experience in sales and/or merchandising in disposable products in the foodservice distribution industry (5+ years experience preferred)

  • Outside sales experience calling on large-scale end users preferred

  • Knowledge of product categories, product specifications, and quality assurance, including background with budgetary responsibilities

  • Must have an advanced knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Power CI, and CRM software

  • Excellent skills in both written and verbal communication as well as strong presentation and organizational skills
