Veralto Focus Factory Supervisor (Onsite Role in Hemet, CA) - McCrometer in Riverside, California

The Focus Factory Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily activities of welding, machining, final assembly, and operation material support functions. Prioritizes, assigns, and monitors tasks and work assignments to meet shipment plans. Tracks cell-level key performance indicators (KPI), maintains visual daily management (VDM) and assists the Operations Manager with problem-solving and other continuous improvement activities.

This position is part of the Operations Team located in Hemet, California and will be on-site.

Please note, the typical work schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, from 6 AM to 2:30 PM.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Prioritize and assign resources to complete production and shipment objectives consistent with the organization’s quality, compliance, regulatory, and cost requirements.

  • Monitor cell output on a regular pitch and facilitates workflow to eliminate delays and ensure production and shipping schedules are met.

  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area, and ensure proper handling of tools, equipment, and stock to prevent loss of capacity and materials.

  • Coordinate with other department team leaders and supervisors to meet required shipment dates.

  • Assist with training and provide ad hoc on-the-job training when appropriate.

  • Ensure quality of orders by interpreting blueprints, travelers, and established methods and procedures.

  • Partner with Purchasing and Material Supervisor to maintain and improve design inventories.

  • Promote a safe work environment by delivering safety training, managing near-miss Kamishibai, and other cell audits.

  • Enlist support from the indirect support team (engineering, purchasing, etc.) to facilitate delays in production or delivery schedule.

  • Track KPI at the cell level, maintain VDM, and follow up with associates and action plans to promote accountability across the focus factory.

  • Ensure sustainment of countermeasures by implementing reinforcing changes to SOP and Standard Work.

  • Assist Operations Manager with problem-solving and other continuous improvement activities.

  • Provide detailed suggestions for production recovery to the Operations Manager when required.

  • Reinforce Veralto Enterprise System culture by sustaining 5S, SOP/Standard Work, and with open and constructive communication with associates around the factory Value Stream Transformation Action Plan.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • At least 2 years of previous experience in a leadership role in an operations or manufacturing environment.

  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, process or manufacturing engineering.

  • Proficiency with PC, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel (Basic Formulas & Charts)

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $80,000 - $90,000 USD per year.
