At Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Business, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.

The Sourcing Supplier Quality Engineer will drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation. You will support to select suppliers through qualification processes, own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards, own supplier audits, ensure compliance, and drive improvement plans where needed.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

• Support to Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development

• Support supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence

• Track metrics & works quality improvement plans to address problem areas

• Review quality plans, investigate quality escapes to provide root cause analysis and ensure effective corrective actions are taken

• Ensure compliance, and drive improvement plans where needed

• Review documentation and witness supplier practices to determine if sound manufacturing and inspection principles are in place

Qualifications/Requirements

• Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering

• Previous experience in Supplier Quality

• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

• Ability to analyze and resolve problems

• Highly collaborative, team-oriented individual

• Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time

• Fluent Italian and English

• Work Visa in accordance with local regulation is required
