Amentum Supply Chain Development Manager in Risley, United Kingdom

We are now recruiting for a Supply Chain Development Manager to join us permanently on one of our projects sites located in Warrington.

Scope:

The Supply Chain Development Manager will lead on all future contract developments with the Programme Supply Chain and will actively derive, maintain and drive a programme of activities across the supply chain to bring together the current subcontracting arrangements, together with the Target Subcontracting Operating Model, with the potential to adopt an aligned incentive model.

Responsibilities:

Derive, maintain and update the Overall Commercial Strategy for the Programme Supply Chain with special focus on an aligned supply chain incentive model

Devise and Deliver a programme of engagements (121s and 12many) across the supply chain to progressively progress plans to transition from the current contractual arrangements to those set out in the Overall Commercial Strategy

Consider structured feedback from the supply chain

Maintain, track and report on progress/ risks/ opportunities and decisions required to enable achievement of the target subcontract operating model

Devise and update proposals, reports and other associated documentation required to support achievement of the Overall Commercial Strategy in respect of the Project supply chain

Formulate supplier/ workpack (as appropriate) specific strategies encompassing options for working inside the NEC 4 envelope with recommendations (consistent with the Overall Commercial Strategy)

Supplier Management: Evaluate and engage with suppliers, cultivating relationships to ensure quality and reliability of materials and services.

Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (such as project management, safety case, engineering, etc) to align supply chain strategies with overall project objectives.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.

Reporting: Prepare and present reports to senior management on supply chain performance and improvement initiatives.

Ensure progressive and appropriate incorporation of Social Value, Sustainability, Carbon reduction etc targets and measures

Education/ Experience

Ideally degree qualified in Commercial, Legal, Business, Engineering or other relevant discipline

Chartered or equivalent (CIPS)

Proven experience in a commercial delivery role

Major project delivery - primary working experience as a prime contractor rather than a client-side consultant

Experience of working collaboratively project/programme/client environment

Experience of working in a safety and quality driven environment

Dispute avoidance and dispute management experience

Experience of working in the nuclear industry

Currently hold SC or prepared to go through the SC process

Significant experience of ERP systems and CEMAR

Additional Experience:

Client facing/ Client management experience.

Managerial abilities and excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Demonstrated ability to establish, implement and monitor high standards of excellence in areas of quality, safety and operational performance.

Understanding the levels of scrutiny involved in spending public money

Familiarity with Public Procurement Regulations

Working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 suite of contracts

Strong written and verbal communications skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint).

You will be eligible for UK SC security clearance.
