Regular Full Time Status: Exempt / Salary

Reports to: Medical Director

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (This is not an exhaustive list of all duties/responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned)

  • Responsible for clinical medicine, i.e., direct patient care
  • Responsible for working cooperatively and effectively with the Clinic Administrator, Medical Director, and other CC Idaho personnel.
  • Report to the Medical Director on clinical issues and the Clinic Administrator on administrative issues.
  • Supervise Physician Assistants
  • Participate in the periodic management review of practice functions (i.e.: reception, telephone triage, patient flow, outreach services, laboratory, follow-up missed appointments, referral tracking)
  • Participate in the development of health risk management protocols and in quality assurance activities.
  • Adhere to the highest standards of medical ethics always.
  • Prepare and review medical history.
  • Participate in surgical procedures per training and ability.
  • Examine patients, formulate differential diagnostic plans, define and order required diagnostic testing, interpret examination findings, and test results, and implement treatment plans.
  • Promote positive interpersonal relationships with patients.
  • Attend regular meetings of providers and staff.
  • Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity to cultural issues and community practices of children and families in CC Idahos client base.
  • Ability to multi-task, manage time, meet deadlines, and remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Maintain standards of confidentiality of CC Idaho clients and records
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Perform all work duties and activities in compliance with CC Idaho, Joint Commission, OSHA and HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

Required

  • Medical Degree or Doctor of Osteopathy Degree
  • Active Idaho medical license
  • DEA License or obtain within 3 months of hire.
  • BLS certification
  • Current drivers license and proof of auto insurance
  • Ability to frequently travel to outreach sites.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Evidence of no communicable disease

Preferred

  • 1 2 years health related experience
  • Ability to read, speak, and write in both English/Spanish in a business setting.

Required Physical Demands

  • Is required to stand for long periods of time; must frequently walk; climb or balance, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; reach with hands and arms; grasping/holding.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Work Environment

Work in an office setting; the work may be stressful; the noise level is moderate; may be exposed to electrical shock and fumes or airborne particles.
