You will be a successful team member if you are:Creative and able to adjust accordinglyOrganized and detail-orientedPatient, compassionate, and caringCollaborative and communicate effectively with a teamMission-motivated and results-driven Responsibilities:Maintain the residential household to high standard: cleaning, shopping, preparing meals, and promptly reporting any housing issues to management.Driving clients safe and efficiently to and from activities.Assist in all areas where clients may require support, including but not limited to: Provide assistance in personal hygiene care.Proper administration of medication in accordance with training and procedures.Write clear and concise progress notes.Ensure ongoing implementation of ISP Outcomes.Follow through on any and all established behavior plans.Active participation and guidance in recreational activities.Implement activities that encourage personal growth and new skill development.Advocate for clients’ self-expression and communication.Manage a safe and nurturing environment for our clients that allows them to grow and be their best selves.Treat all clients and fellow staff with dignity and respect.Work directly under the supervision of the Director of Residential Services.Attend all departmental staff meetings, company events, and organization-provided training sessions.Partner with staff from LOU and DDD and/or personnel from the Department of Human Services in any inspection and/or investigation.This role must complete all responsibilities required and deemed applicable by the Director of Residential Services as it pertains to the Residential Services and building a better future for our clients.Requirements:High School diploma or equivalentPossess a valid New Jersey Driver’s LicenseMust be 18 years or olderPreferred, but not required: Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA), Personal Care Aide (PCA), Patient Care Tech (PCT), Direct Support Professional (DSP)Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferredProven professional written and verbal communication skillsStrong computer skills and problem-solving skillsMust be able to successfully complete all NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities mandated training within the first 120 days of employment.The requirements for checks of criminal background, the central registry, the child abuse registry, and drug testing must be completed prior to working with any clients in the Day Program or Residential Program.Benefits:Health, Dental, Vision, & Life Insurance, 401(k)Competitive SalaryPaid Training Programs & Flexible HoursPTO, Vacation, & Holiday PayCareer Advancement Opportunities
