Product Manager

Position Summary:

The main function of a product manager is to maximize sales, revenue, market share, and profit margins by leading a team to deliver an end product. The typical product manager guides the delivery of a product through its life cycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with other company departments to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met
  • Ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals.
  • Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
  • Author user stories, and acceptance criteria and execute a portion of the testing on projects.
  • Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
  • Ensure product quality expectations are defined and known across the team.
  • Plan, coordinate, align, and execute all content merchandising for clients Shop App.
  • Assist, manage, and execute daily, weekly, and out-of-band content release schedules, roadmaps, requirements, and plans.
  • Define and deliver innovative and intuitive experiences across multiple promotions, using the best design thinking principles and incorporating creative technological solutions.
  • Participate in creating consumer journey and marketing assets and manage daily/weekly operations on the content management system.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to execute product features relative to the promotion platform.
  • Assist in aligning storefront feature enhancements and on-device merchandising management across phones, tablets, and connected devices to ensure marketing alignment.
  • Analyze content performance with attention to improving content sales and features.
  • Build and manage relationships with content providers. Take the lead in managing day-to-day communication with content providers and internal operations teams.
  • Coordinate with internal groups and HQ to coordinate application, promotions, and feature changes.
  • Drive site improvements to completion by coordinating with project managers, web developers, designers, marketers, and other merchandisers.
  • Proactively identify issues, and potential points of failure and make quick decisions on ways to improve the user experience.
  • Coordinate with Content Managers to execute merchandising programming strategy.
  • Work closely with Front-end and Mobile App product Managers to build a longer-term roadmap based on key learnings on promotions and other consumer-facing operations.
  • Run analytical reports on content and campaign performance.
  • Project management content-related programs as needed.

Skills:

  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering. 1 or 2 years of related experience in product marketing, product management, or mobile app development is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in digital content merchandising mobile app marketing or digital campaign management.
  • Experience understanding business objectives and translating them into product/campaign requirements.
  • Strong verbal, copywriting, and editing skills.
  • Strong control and familiarity with the internet and mobile environments.
  • Good technical knowledge, presentation skills, content knowledge, product knowledge, project management skills, and familiarity with analytic tools such as Excel, Tableau, and SQL.
  • Experience with CMS tools.
  • Exceptional partner relations skills. Understand content partner needs and translate them to executable actions for internal teams.
  • Experience with mobile marketing/ promotions is highly desired.
  • Deep hands-on technical expertise. Highly computer literate with advanced troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Must be able to think both strategically and tactically.
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet aggressive timelines. Most notably weekly release schedules and seasonal promotions.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter and be able to prioritize work efforts and deliver results on schedule.
  • Candidate must be willing to work frequent additional hours beyond normal schedule in conjunction with teams located in other time zones.
