Job Title: SU3-Assembler

Job Description

Join our team as an SU3-Assembler, where you'll be responsible for assembling sub-components and finished products in a fast-paced production environment. You will work with hand tools, power tools, and an overhead crane to build heat exchangers, ensuring all parts fit correctly and meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble sub-components and finished products following detailed assembly diagrams.

• Fit metal products using hand tools and power tools.

• Operate hand and power tools, as well as an overhead crane, to build heat exchangers.

• Ensure accurate placement of parts and quantities based on assembly schematics.

• Lift and fit products weighing 60lbs+.

• Collaborate with a team member to fulfill daily product orders.

• Perform tasks such as lifting, climbing, standing, walking, and extending arms for extended periods.

Essential Skills

• Experience with assembling and fitting metal products.

• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.

• Ability to read and interpret assembly diagrams and schematics.

• Experience operating an overhead crane.

• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with assembly processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (GED program available upon hire).

• Ability to lift 50lbs+ (40lbs+ independently).

• Physical capability to regularly walk, sit, reach, and use hand tools and power tools for extended periods.

Work Environment

Work in a clean, organized, and large manufacturing floor with clearly labeled sections based on materials and production. First Shift: 6AM - 2:30PM (with possible extension to 4:30PM). Second Shift: 2:15PM - 10:45PM Mon-Fri (with possible overtime on Saturdays from 12PM-6PM).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.75/hr.
