We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the non-profit industry, located in Richmond, Virginia. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP principles, and contributing to the monthly and yearly financial close processes. Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of financial statements

• Regularly preparing and posting journal entries

• Conducting bank and account reconciliations

• Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts

• Ensuring adherence to GAAP principles in all accounting procedures

• Assisting with audits to ensure compliance

• Processing accounts payable

• Generating monthly reports and metrics

• Participating in special projects as needed

• Carrying out month-end and year-end close procedures

Requirements • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Has experience in the Non-Profit industry

• Proficient in using accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP

• Demonstrates a strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Exhibits expertise in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Skilled in managing the General Ledger

• Has experience in recording Journal Entries

• Proficient in handling Month End Close activities

• Demonstrates excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills

• Has the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Exhibits a high level of integrity and reliability

• Able to handle confidential information responsibly

• Demonstrates a strong understanding of financial regulations and standards

• Possesses excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Able to multitask and prioritize work effectively to meet deadlines.
