Position Summary:

The Jira Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, and support of Jira platforms, including Jira Software and Jira Service Management. This role ensures the optimal performance and functionality of Jira systems to support project tracking, issue management, and service management processes. The Jira Administrator will collaborate with various teams to understand their requirements and implement solutions to enhance productivity and workflow efficiency.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manage Jira Premium Cloud instances and recommend options to optimize and secure workflows and permissions to allow for disparate teams to use Jira and Confluence in a manner that best suits their team

• Provide technical assistance, training and documentation in using JIRA and other tools as identified

• Manage the Confluence environment and create spaces, pages, page templates as necessary

• Apply industry standard methods and techniques with focus on driving value by minimizing low-value/zero-value items in the JIRA instance

• Configure, build out and manage workflows, projects, schemas, and screen schemes that utilize Atlassian best practices to meet business and stakeholder needs

• Stakeholder collaboration; communicate and share knowledge with internal and external contacts at all levels

• Manage upgrades, patches, availability, and performance of Jira, along with installed Atlassian marketplace add-ons

• Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree

• 3+ years of experience as a Jira Administrator, with hands-on experience in Jira Software and Jira Service Management

• Familiarity with Atlassian tools and plugins (e.g., Confluence, Bitbucket, ScriptRunner)

• Ability to work in a dynamic agile environment

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
