Job Description:

As an IT Network Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and expansion of our branch offices' voice and data infrastructure. You will be responsible for the procurement, configuration, and maintenance of voice and data equipment and services, facilitating moves, additions, and changes across the Wide Area Network (WAN). Additionally, you will provide tactical and strategic input on WAN planning and related projects, troubleshoot LAN/WAN issues, and collaborate with Network Engineers on core network components.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Determine hardware requirements for branch voice and data implementations.

  • Install, maintain, and oversee the operation of Cisco routers, switches, wireless, and related peripheral equipment.

  • Obtain vendor quotes for network and phone equipment, process orders, and track shipments to ensure branch operation schedules are met.

  • Collaborate with field technicians to ensure proper installation and activation of network components.

  • Design call routing and flow for branch phone system operations.

  • Document and maintain hardware configuration standards.

  • Troubleshoot and isolate network failures and performance issues; collaborate closely with vendors for resolution.

  • Monitor the status of the WAN and maintain DHCP entries.

  • Update ServiceNow to track inventory and configuration items.

  • Implement and configure secondary connections across the WAN (VPN via DSL, EVDO, etc.).

  • Handle user problems, questions, and requests related to network and VoIP issues.

  • Collaborate with other IS groups to resolve network-related issues as needed.

Additional Skills:

  • CCNA certification required.

  • Ability to work effectively with little direction.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Advanced computer skills, including connecting computer/printers to the network, IP address management, and command-line proficiency.

  • Advanced Network skills: CCNA required, CCNP preferred.

  • Project management skills with experience in handling multiple projects.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, email, and collaboration tools like Teams.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
