About the Opportunity

With the implementation of the Enterprise Resource Planning system, the Federal Reserve System transitioned its finance, human resources and procurement technology systems to one integrated, cloud-based platform using Workday and SAP Ariba. The Enterprise Resource Planning Support Office (ESO) was established to sustain and grow this technology solution, delivering on the Federal Reserve’s mission.

The Information Security Administrator is part of the ESO Security team whose responsibility it is to administer security over the cloud-based applications supported by the ESO. To do this, the team combines and applies intermediate knowledge of Human Resources, Finance, and Procurement business requirements and experience using Information Technology practices and technical tools. The team is responsible for supporting compliance to System-level information security/cybersecurity policies, procedures, and guidelines; and performing relevant security tasks related to the applications ESO supports (e.g., Ariba, Workday, Adaptive, Alteryx, Workiva). This individual is part of a team that works closely with other ERP support organizations (HRPSC, FSO, NPO, and NIT) to ensure that the applications are properly implemented, maintained, and secured.

What You Will Do:

  • Provides research and analysis of application security data, plans, provides recommendations to customers, colleagues, and management, and executes solutions.

  • Identifies issues of varying complexity and develops recommendations to solve problems and issues related to application security.

  • Participates in cross-functionally linked teams to address application and information security policy/risk or compliance issues. Determines best practices and suggests how to improve current practices and/or monitoring.

  • Serves as second-level security support with elevated powerful administrative privileges within the ESO applications.

  • Performs day-to-day work with minimal supervision and direction.

  • Performs assigned duties, with a range of complexity levels, for all security aspects of supporting the ERP platform.

  • Performs assigned duties for annual security audit activities covering application, platform, external vendors and providers, and data privacy.

  • Contributes to developing policies and procedures to manage application security across the platform.

  • Develops and executes quality and assurance test plans to verify delivery of required security functionality.

  • Helps train new or less-experienced staff; provides instruction and reviews output to ensure understanding.

  • Identifies operational efficiencies, seeks improvements to security processes by evaluating and refining processes and procedures.

  • Builds and consistently supports client relationships and upholds service level agreements.

  • Interacts with various management levels, providing the appropriate level of detail based on expertise to address and resolve issues.

  • Provides recommendations and interpretations to key stakeholders on security issues.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4+ years of system administration experience. Workday experience preferred.

  • 1-2 years of experience with large scale enterprise-level application security with demonstrated knowledge of HR, Finance, and Procurement business processing.

  • Exercises independent judgment, makes decisions, resolves issues, and achieves results based on training and experience.

  • Intermediate level knowledge of, and ability to interpret and apply, information security fundamentals, technologies, risks, Federal Reserve policies and procedures, IT governance standards (SAFR, COSO, ISO17799, ITIL, NIST 800-53, etc.).

  • Exposure to product management/agile methodology

  • Shows a growth-mindset, is curious, creative, and innovative in problem solving. Is a self-starter.

  • Proven outstanding oral and written communication skills with experience conveying technical information to customers, technical staff, and management.

  • Results-oriented with a drive toward delivering value through standardization and ongoing improvements aligned to business needs.

  • The hiring range of the Analyst - Info Sec – Int is $83,100 – $103,900 annually.

  • The hiring range of the Analyst - Info Sec – Sr is $103,400 – $129,300 annually.

  • Salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications.

  • The individual selected for this role is expected to work a hybrid schedule and will be required to be onsite regularly in their FRB District location.
