BCM Controls Corporation Construction Administrative Coordinator in Richmond, Virginia

The Construction Administrative Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support for field supervisors as well as serving as back-up support for the Construction Administration Manager. The Construction Administrative Coordinator will possess the ability to work without direct supervision while dealing diplomatically and effectively with customers and employees throughout the corporation.

** Please note this is an in-person position, located in Richmond, VA.

A day in the life:

  • Process field employees and skilled labor time and production (i.e., timecard review, wage computations, and other information to detect payroll discrepancies).

  • Process temp labor invoices.

  • Process field employees expense reports.

  • Process field employees time off requests.

  • Provide administrative support to job site field supervisors (i.e., drafting documents for internal and external use, coordinating meetings and training sessions, arranging overnight lodging, and calendar maintenance)

  • Manage all aspects of the Performance Management program (i.e., coordination of evaluations and ensuring finalized forms get signed and submitted to HR)

  • Assist with the Apprenticeship Program as needed

  • Assist with special events (i.e., Open Enrollment, Flu Clinics, Meetings, Parties)

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

You should have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to handle a dynamic, evolving, and fast-paced workload, with the ability to coordinate and perform concurrent activities and processes in a timely manner.

  • Work experience in the Construction or Building Service industry providing administrative support (preferred, not required).

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and PDF software.

  • Ability to handle a fast-paced workload and work under pressure with last minute deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (i.e., strong proofreading, editing, and writing skills, inclusive of proper grammar, usage, and spelling).

  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to build strong relationships.

  • Excellent administrative, organization and follow-up skills.
