Cabling Technician - Richmond, VA

Part Time

LOCATION: 

• Richmond, VA 

DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking part-time individuals to assist our client with the installation and when necessary, decom of infrastructure cable (cat6/Fiber).  Technician should be familiar with working in a data center environment.   Experience with terminating and testing of cat6/cat6a cable is required.   Ideally, technicians is familiar with all tasks associated with the installation and build-out of Voice/Data/Network infrastructure cabling systems.

REQUIRMENT SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in networking/structured cabling environment 

• Ability to work with others in a team environment.

• Excellent customer interface skills and computer skills is a must.

• Read and understand engineering diagrams and spreadsheets.

• Familiar with working with and testing all types of fiber.

• Experience in installing and terminating Cat6/Cat6A copper cable.

• Experience in a data center environment is a plus.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Work is primarily nights 6:00pm to 2:00 am Monday – Friday.
