We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Entry Level Data Center Technicians to join our team in Richmond, VA. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the telecommunications field and contribute to the construction of a major data center.

Position Overview:

As an Entry Level Data Center Technician, you will assist higher-level technicians and team leads in building out the infrastructure of a large data center. Your responsibilities will include pulling and terminating various types of cabling, installing cable trays and pathways, building server racks, and assisting with electronic security installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Structured Cabling: Run, terminate, and install structured cabling systems (Cat5, Cat6, Coaxial, and Fiber Optics) to support data center operations.

• Construction Support: Assist in the construction and installation of cable trays, pathways, and server racks.

• Grounding: Install grounding for server racks, equipment, and cable as required.

• Fire-Stopping: Perform fire-stopping procedures on fire walls and low voltage devices.

• Hardware Termination: Terminate low-voltage devices and IT hardware (e.g., cameras, servers, switches).

• Blueprints: Follow blueprints precisely to ensure accurate work.

• Documentation: Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.

• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company, customer, and industry quality and safety standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Punctuality and Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to be punctual and work effectively as part of a team.

• Hands-On Skills: Comfortable working with hands and using basic hand/power tools.

• Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to different tasks and work hours as needed.

Work Environment:

• Data Centers: Work in large data centers, often under construction.

• Comfort with Heights: Must be comfortable working at heights.

• PPE: Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as steel toe boots, vest, hard hat, goggles/glasses, and gloves.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
