This position reports to the General Manager and will direct the Environmental Services (EVS) operations at VCU Health System. Responsible for Aramark programs, client financial accountability, and ensuring compliance with standards for Aramark, regulatory agencies and the client. Establishes and maintains an effective working relationship with other departments to provide a unified experience for patients, residents, visitors, and employees.
Delivers strong operational performance by executing against Aramark and regulatory agency standards and programs, continually monitoring operations, completing assessments and developing necessary action plans to provide optimal managed services and drive patient and customer satisfaction.
Has a stong understanding and ensures compliance to appropriate infection prevention, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards, for a 700 + bed hospital.
Interacts with Client Management and maintains effective client and customer relations at all levels with client organization, including conducting rounding. Identifies ARAMARK service expansion opportunities.
Has direct responsibility for day to day operation, and provides direction for the management team, supervisors and front line employees.Ensures employee development, engagement and compliance with human resource related policies and standards, including conducting applicable rounding.
Develops operational planning, with responsibility for adherence to Aramark QC protocols and standards.
Ensure consistent application to all Aramark Healthcare operating systems.
Tour and inspect the facility to ensure quality program requirements are in place.
Ensure compliance with all OSHA/EPA regulations and other local, state, and federal government regulations.
Obtain technical skills and knowledge of equipment related to EVS
Utilize CMMS while ensuring data is accurate.
Take lead in communicating with operation managers and or clients.
Ensures all staff are properly trained and address training needs through coordination with on-site training staff.
Minimum of 7+ years of progressive management experience.
Managing a complex business with $5+ Million financial and operational responsibility for that business, multi-site OR multi-departmental experience with increasing degrees of responsibility attained (preferred).

Strong financial acumen
Previous contract management experience a plus
Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively with clients, customers of the client and support staff.
Requires management and leadership skills and the ability to work with confidential employee, client, and Aramark information
