JOB SUMMARY: Provides support and assistance to the Office of the County Treasurer through performance of duties and responsibilities. Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Researches, verifies, inputs and posts court collections defendant data. Greets and assists all County Treasurer office visitors and switchboard operator for incoming office calls. Verifies, balances, receipts, relocates and maintains financial records of monies collected by Fort Bend County, as needed. Registers accounts payable invoices and maintains retention records. Processes county deposits in accordance with state law; Prepares all monies collected by Fort Bend County for deposits. Assists payroll staff with various tasks including OnBase document verification and edit entry verification for accuracy, as needed. Processes Accounts Payable and Payroll ACH files, transfer funds, Infor/Lawson bookings and printing of county checks. Assists the office with administrative duties and delivers and distributes departmental mail. Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department.

REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma/GED. 1 year of job-related experience. Good computer and typing skills (accurate and efficient number entry). Skilled in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word). Experience utilizing ERP systems (Infor Lawson ERP preferred). Good verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others. Good organizational skills and self-starter; Good time management skills. Works well with others and willingness to help others when needed.

SALARY RANGE: $15.71 - $19.64 hourly, based on qualifications.
