Job Description Summary This position is responsible for maintaining and operating Co Product Line packaging equipment. Part of the responsibilities of this position will also include giving direction to handpackers and daily activities as they relate to safety, quality, production, and maintenance. Job Description Individuals in this position must: * Follow all plant safety policies and procedures. Be actively involved in safety, participate in safety programs, engaged in safety activities, perform risk assessments and demonstrate ownership as well as leadership in personal safety and the safety of other team members. * Actively participate in AMD activities that involve the Co-Product packaging area. * Know basic operation of the Co Product packaging equipment and the ability to start, stop and clear stoppages for the Shubert Robot System, Kliklok Tray Formers, Wexxar, Kalfass, & Goodman. * Set and adjust Carton and Case Coders, Metal Detector, and Carton Check Weigher. * Know and follow all lock out/tag out procedures for assigned work area. * Perform maintenance and sanitation duties during scheduled plant downtimes as required. * Assist mechanic with Co Product packaging equipment repairs. * Troubleshoot overall systems as required to determine the cause of failures and make minor repairs and/or adjustments to electrical control systems. * Maintain floors, catwalks, handrails and other walkways in a clean and safe manner. * Complete all required paperwork and maintain equipment inspections such as centerline and CIL's. * Follow good housekeeping practices and GMP's. * Wear required PPE. * Any other duties as assigned by a Team Leader Basic & Preferred Qualifications Qualifications & Experience The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this job.
